Always Tired? Get More Energy, Again Can you remember a time when you were full of energy and feeling great all the time? This is how life is meant to be-living your life to the full followed by a great restful sleep at night.Growing older doesn't automatically mean that your health has to decrease and your energy levels drain. You can discover a new silver age of life even after years of fatigue and restless nights. If you are too exhausted to do the activities you used to do, take heart. There are ways to overcome fatigue naturally and get fantastic results. If being tired all the time is having an effect on your life, the advice that follows will change your life for the better. Eliminate underlying causes of fatigue I suggest beginning with a medical examination to have your thyroid and liver checked to eliminate possible underlying causes for your problem. Hidden culprits like food allergies such as wheat (gluten) and dairy (casein) may be weighing down your digestive system, draining your energy reserves and focus. People who are gluten intolerant will feel listless and tired regularly when their diet seems otherwise healthy. If you are eating a healthy diet of at least 3 servings of fresh green vegetables a day, plenty of water and avoiding junk food, gluten sensitivity may be a concern. People with food allergies may be used to the symptoms and not recognize the lack of energy for many years. Some lesser known symptoms of gluten intolerance are lower back pain and focusing problems for instance. Thyroid and liver problems are common reasons for fatigue and many people suffer from sluggishness as a result of poor lifestyle and eating habits. Both will affect your liver/gallbladder and thyroid/glandular activity. Stay active for more energy! Did you know sedentary behavior is another direct cause of fatigue? Missing one day of exercise disrupts your natural sleep rhythms. This creates a vicious cycle because when you don't sleep, you feel drained. This makes working out more of a chore. The key is to push yourself to get out and go for a long walk even when you aren't feeling like it-you will sleep so much better and your body will thank you for the boost! To make your walk more inspiring you could try finding new places to walk that will make you feel revived. Lush gardens, local conservatories and beaches are the best locations to visit: The beach air has extra oxygen that will let you breathe deeper, giving you a better workout. Gardens, parks and conservatories have plants and trees that naturally revive you and awaken your senses. Try going after 3:00 pm to avoid the hottest part of the day. Staying Inspired Here are some tips that helped me to stay inspired! • Make exercising recreational. When you're feeling fatigued, exercise will be the last thing you want to do, but perhaps all you need to start feeling more energetic is to prevail over the resistance and find a way to make it fun. • There are yoga classes available for men and women of all ages and you may want to give some thought to joining one of these. People join for all different reasons but chances are you will make friends and find a long-term workout buddy! • I find hiking is another good, inexpensive choice for those who want less structure in their workout routines. Hiking in the mountains gives you the benefits of uphill climbing but doesn't feel like exercise. • If your life is hectic, this can deplete your energy and is one of the reasons many individuals wake up feeling exhausted. Stress could also cause your sleep to be disrupted, so if you are stressed out learning to recharge your battery should to be on your list of things to do. Following these tips will give you more energy and help you sleep deeper each night. Over time your new lifestyle will be so much a part of you that you are used to feeling good every day.
